This summer is slowly passing by, and your thoughts are already turning to the one ahead. And why wouldn't they – summer heat, wild beats, good company and a refreshing Cockta bring joy to all the party people! We made a list of the freshest festivals in the region so you can add them to your calendar.

#1 EXIT

Novi Sad (Serbia)

One of the biggest, wildest and coolest festivals returns next year in better form than ever – celebrating its 20th anniversary under the motto EXIT 2.0! Browse their website and pre-book exclusive tickets for the upcoming edition of the festival!

EXIT's sibling festivals are also making a splash throughout the region: Sea Star Festival, which brings more than 40,000 festivalgoers to Umag for a weekend of EDM, house, techno and alternative indie, and Sea Dance Festival in Budva, which has been named the "best medium-sized European festival" and boasts a hot line-up of more than 100 artists.

#2 Fresh Island

Zrće (Croatia), 4–11 July 2020

Fresh Island Festival returns for another edition to the Zrće party beach that can easily rival Ibiza! Each year, the sun-drenched parade of hip-hop, R&B, afrobeats, trap and other genres brings the biggest stars to Pag; Snoop Dogg, Nas, Rick Ross and Lil Pump are some of the headliners who electrified the crowds in the past, and we are excited to see who takes the stage next year!

#3 Mostar Summer Fest

Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), 25-28 June 2020

Over three days, Mostar Summer Fest features the very best acts the region has to offer spanning genres from rock, pop, hip-hop to electronic beats. All-day urban events lead into evening acts that energise the city of bridges and create an authentic atmosphere.

#4 Southern Soul Festival

Ulcinj (Montenegro)

The Montenegrin sea breeze is calling us again! Southern Soul Festival returns next year for the magical seventh edition, bringing four days of world-renowned as well as underground acts in a variety of genres, from soul, jazz, funk, house to disco. More than 70 hours of music across three stages await for you on our favourite magnificent sandy beach in Ulcinj. Join us at the magical experience of music, dance, sea and sun!

#5 Castle Festival

Fara (Slovenia)

The idyllic setting along the River Kolpa is bound to enchant even those who prefer urban experiences. The Castle Festival line-up is brimming with feel-good vibes and plenty of events – from stand-up acts to theatre shows and sporting events. The icing on the cake are the first-class musical performances by top local and international artists! If you long for festival action, but don't want long journeys to get there, you should head to the banks of the River Kolpa next year.
