Although I finished law school and worked in the field for many years, I gradually stopped enjoying the work. I no longer felt fulfilled. It didn't feel dynamic enough. My sister noticed that I was dissatisfied with my job, and advised me to change careers. While we were talking about it, I came up with the idea of opening an ice cream shop. You only live once, and you have to do everything you can to make each day beautiful.
I attended Gelato University in Bologna and fell in love with ice cream during my very first class. From the first day I knew that I would spend the rest of my life making the best ice cream in the centre of Ljubljana. I put a lot of time and effort into the recipes, and in 2012 I was awarded the title of ice cream master. Since then my life has been fulfilling, and my workdays make me happy.

The name Gelateria Romantika is based on the fact that everything related to ice cream is romantic, and the Gelateria is also close to a bridge where couples hang locks and throw the keys in the river to symbolise their love, so the inspiration for the second part of the name was clear.
I think about every flavour a lot, as I want to be innovative. My customers often give me ideas and suggestions. When I am at the Gelateria, I feel like a kid; I love thinking about new tastes and creating new recipes.

I used my family as the guinea pigs for my first batch of ice cream. I have to admit, at the beginning my family did not support me, but now they all do.
You only live once, so there is no reason to be dissatisfied. You have to do everything you can to make things as good as possible.
