»I love old-timer cars, travel and people.«

I find inspiration for my travels every day. I love my work, but I really come alive when I travel. Actually, what I really love is adventures. What I love about Australia is that I can make my dreams come true if I really want to. Whenever I go I can go wherever I want to, and I really value that.

I got my love of old cars from my father. I spent a lot of time in the workshop with him as a child. He was always fixing cars, and I watched him and soaked up knowledge like a sponge. So now, I'm just like my dad. I spend all of my free time in the garage, fixing, working on and modifying my old cars. I love old-timers because they're timeless. We got a fičo (Zastava 750) for my mother, because she really liked them, but now I drive it, not her.

»It's my dad's fault I fell in love with fičos. Since I was little, we spent time together in the garage.«

When you travel by fičo, you get to experience a lot of things. I remember one trip to Italy. We had to get to the top of a hill, and the fičo could barely manage it, it was like a tired donkey. And of course it was really hot, and the fičo has no AC. We somehow managed to make it to the top, where we were stopped by some Italians. They were speaking and waving their hands, and we couldn't understand a word. Then one of them tugged my sleeve and indicated that he wanted me to take a picture of him with the fičo. They really loved the fičo. The responses we get are always positive and full of nostalgia. For a lot of people, it was the car of their youth.

The fičo is a real diva, and she can get extremely tired while travelling. But we have managed to repair all the breakdowns we have had on the road. Luckily my dad taught me well and I know how to fix it. I know all of its quirks inside and out, and I can tell what's wrong just from the sound.
With the speed of modern life sometimes its good to travel slowly and enjoy all the details, since the world, the nature and architecture that surround us, can only be appreciated if you observe it slowly. People laugh when they see we're going 60 km/h, but that's the fun of it. Speed is overrated.
